Recently, I had the pleasure of connecting with Jim Murray over the phone where he allowed me to share my desire for a change of direction from my current path in this industry.

Jim and I had a great discussion about the state of the game across a number of areas and how my background and diverse experiences in baseball could fit into his division at WME.

We ended our call with mutual interest in a potential opportunity at the agency, and Jim requested that I create a presentation where could I further convey where and how I see myself contributing to the team.

This site - uniquely created to serve as that presentation - is a vessel for my message and just one example of the kind of creative vision that I can offer.

MY BACKGROUND

My name is Samuel Gonzalez, and I have been working in baseball for the last 10 years. I was born in Caracas, Venezuela and moved to Miami, FL at the age of 6.

Spanish was my first language, and I’m a bilingual attorney barred in the state of Florida.

I’ve spent the last two seasons at MLB’s Office of the Commissioner within On-Field Operations, and my previous experiences include roles within Baseball Ops for the Texas Rangers and Toronto Blue Jays.
